What to do if you can't log in to your Vimsy account

In this post we cover some of the most common reasons that you may not be able to log into your Vimsy account.

Account has not been activated

This error message will appear when a user tries logging in to an account that hasn't been activated. 

Once an account is registered an email will be sent to the email address associated with the account. This email contains an activation link which needs to be clicked before the account becomes active. As the activation email is automatically generated it may be classified as spam and put in your junk folder.

If you've not received an activation link or continue to have problems after clicking the activation link, please contact support@vimsy.co


Invalid email or password

This error message will appear if a user tries to log in with an incorrect email address or password. 

The first step to solving this issue is by double checking that the details you've entered are correct. Make sure that you've not used an alternative email address to register for Vimsy, and check that your password has been entered correctly. 

Passwords are case sensitive, so check that you don't accidentally have Caps Lock on!

If you continue to have problems, click the 'Forgot password?' link above the password field and enter your email address. You will be sent a link to reset your password.

Email "username@example.com" has already been taken

If you're trying to register for an account and receive this message then the email address that you've entered is already registered for a Vimsy account. If you don't remember the password for this account, please follow the steps above to reset your password.


Account suspended

If a user commits a gross breach our terms of service we may choose to temporarily or permanently suspend their account, preventing them from using the service again.

If you've received this error message without prior notice we urge you to please contact support@vimsy.co so that we can investigate the matter as soon as possible.
